Pakistan to increase Basmati output

Official sources reported that area under Basmati cultivation has been increased by 1489.0 million hectare and 2666.40 million tons production has been prepared to produce this year as compared to the total area of 1474.24 million hectare and total production of 2493 million tons in 2006-07.
